Augmenting Rhythm: Putting You in Sync with Yourself

This study introduces a design paradigm centered on augmenting rhythms, augmenting synchronization with the body for improved mental health and abilities, promoting a healthier lifestyle. Employing the biofeedback loop design, I enhance personal interactions with intelligent artifacts, utilizing physiological sensing (heart rate, skin conductance, respiratory rate, muscle activities, etc.) to design visual, audio, and haptic feedback. This research emphasizes application scenarios like stress relief and human skill training during musical activities. Consider pursuing a career in Human-Computer Interaction, specializing in physiological or affective computing, to innovate and apply biofeedback technologies for enhanced well-being, mental health, and performance across domains like UX design, health-tech product management, clinical applications, entrepreneurship, or education.
