Analysis of Community Space Quality and Revitalization in Depopulated Areas from an Eye-Level Perspective

This study includes the continuous collection of eye-level spatial images in typical communities located in depopulated areas of Japan, as well as their quantitative analysis. It then examines whether the visual characteristics of eye-level community spaces influence residents’ willingness to settle by affecting social capital. The research aims to explore new approaches to mitigating regional population decline and uneven population distribution, while enhancing residents’ quality of life and community vitality in this context.
